MILK Makeup Blur + Set Loose Setting Powder Review

I have never found a good setting powder. I have tried Maybelline, Coty’s, Colourpop, and many more but they are either too drying or have horrendous flashback or just don’t work.  During my mini Fenty makeover at Sephora, she asked my concerns and i said creasing on my forehead, cause ya girl talks with her eyebrows. She ran over and grabbed this product, and I fell in love!

It retails for $29, but you get SO MUCH PRODUCT! It is super light-weight, silicone and talc free, and made with avocado powder and hyaluronic acid! I use it with my Fenty foundation and concealer, which are pretty drying, but it gives me oil protection and no creases, without looking like the Sahara desert. It really smoothes out my fine lines and helps the under eyes while still brightening! I love this product and recommend it to anyone who needs a good powder that isn’t too drying and doesn’t have flashback! Here are some pictures of my makeup with this powder on! I had already been wearing this for 3 hours and it still looked great!

Fenty Foundation and Concealer Review

I am a person that is basically a foundation hoarder, I love trying new things and cycle through foundations like there is no tomorrow. I originally wanted to buy the fenty foundation in June, but I knew my tan wouldn’t last, so I ended up buying it in February!

IMG_20190220_195104.jpgThe catalyst for this purchase was a free Fenty mini makeover at Sephora! I fell in love with the foundation, and the person that helped me taught me a bunch of tips to deal with my concerns!

My main concern was that people said it was EXTREMELY DRYING and I already have a lot of dry skin on my face, with the exception to my very oily T-Zone. She told me that if I use a very long lasting moisturizer under it, with an optional primer (which I avoid primers cause they make me break out) will help combat the matte-ness. My only other concern was the creasing, cause I “talk with my eyebrows”, and my under eyes get very creasy, and she recommended another product for that which works wonders (review coming soon!!!). She did my full face, and I loved it, so I caved and bought the foundation and concealer! The shade match was spot on and I ended up gettin 150 in the foundation and the concealer. I love this so much and it is stunning! The concealer is very full coverage, and I LOVE that the shade numbers match, it cuts out a lot of guessing! I highly recommend this to anyone, just know that if you have dry skin, you need to put on a pretty thick layer of moisturizer on before hand. I applied it with a sponge myself, mainly because i’m not a fan of applying foundation with a brush, but the stylist at Sephora used a brush and it was still stunning! And if you have sensitive skin, like me, know it hasn’t caused any problems with me and it isn’t uncomfortable or itchy at all! This picture is of me wearing both products as my base!

Colourpop Foundation Set Review

So I jumped on the train, cheap foundation that has an all-day claim? you’re kidding?!?!?!? Well I ordered the full set offered on colourpop’s website, a foundation, loose powder, pressed powder, and I bought a concealer in the recommended shade.

Color matching online is extremely hard, mainly cause I am on the border of light and medium shades. I ordered the lightest medium shade with a warm undertone, got the medium pressed powder, and the translucent loose powder.

The color match is pretty good, maybe just a tad too orange but it works when i cover it all in translucent powder. The formula is good and so is the concealer, but the powders make it dry a lot. As I have tried the products multiple times since my original thoughts, I realized how much I dislike both of the powders. The pressed powder is not a great formula and the pan has changed a lot and isn’t good anymore, the loose powder is okay, but i can’t use it with matte foundations, because its overly drying. The dryness was taken care of by my fix plus but its still not my favorite combo. Im going to try the foundation with some other powders to see how it sets. I recommend this product for anyone who wants to try out a new foundation, but is on a budget.

Hope you enjoyed!

Tarte Shape Tape Hydrating Foundation Review

I have been buying lots of foundations lately. I have tanned since my most recent purchase and i have many different shade with many different undertones. One thing I realized is, wow, I only have matte foundations. I have combination skin, very dry cheeks and a very oily nose and forehead and chin. I noticed my Tarte amazonian clay foundation is way too dry on my face, especially after I set my T zone so I don’t sweat my makeup off.

I saw that for the whole month of September, Tarte Shape Tape Foundations are all only $23 instead of $39. I decided to buy it, even though I have many foundations, because I am in pursuit of my perfect foundation. I bought the hydrating formula, mainly because I don’t have any and Im in desperate need of a perfect foundation. I color matched myself in Ulta, and might I say, I did a perfect match. It ended up being 2 shades darker than the original Tarte shade I was matched with a month ago.

So I put the foundation on and… I AM IN LOVE. The shade is perfect but most of all, I am astounded with how it makes my skin look. It looks so natural that my mom couldn’t tell which half of my face had it on! It is my new favorite and I am thinking of buying another bottle since it is so cheap right now. I am so in love and highly recommend it!
